A weekend of vintage

These last few weekends have been filed with Vintage Goodness ! My particular favourite being the Vintage Kilo Sale, that took place on Saturday on Brick Lane. I spent most of the day dashing about flyering (heels were definitely not a winning option!) and generally convincing people that vintage is the way to go ! At the end of the day I found time, despite really needing a coffee, to grab some bargains of my own. Including an amazing ivory silk shirt, some bright red tennis shorts and a lovely floral dress with massive pockets (I love dresses with pockets !) .

The next Kilo Sale in London is on the 17th of December. It starts at 11 am and only costs £1 to get in , AMAZING. All clothes are £15 a Kilo or you can buy items separately (price list on the website).  If you haven't been before , get yourself down there, its perfect for picking up last minute Christmas presents or just kitting yourself out with a new look for the new year !

Virgin Suicides.

 I found this dress whilst I was rummaging through my wardrobe in Cornwall. It belonged to my mum when she was my age. Though its a little torn and tattered I still love it; the colour, shape and fabric are just perfect. Anyway I packed it up and brought it back to London with me. It had its first outing yesterday to Judy's Affordable Vintage Fair and I teemed it with a plait, tied with a length of ribbon that Michael gave me and a vintage brooch from a carboot!

I was reminded whilst wearing it of some pictures a friend, Hayley Brown, took a few years ago. It was based on The Virgin Suicides and if you'll excuse my questionable haircut then they are quite lovely !

Cornwall

So I am home in Cornwall. Its been amazing weather, I haven't done very much but there is something so lovely about doing very little! I have started listing some of my life possessions on ebay and planned an amazing outfit for the next preview at Penny MacBeth Gallery . I am here for another two weeks, it seems like ages but time goes so quickly here !
