Jingle Bells

Christmas is coming hurray! We are having a 70s themed Christmas in my flat this year, that means lots of tinsel, matchmakers, after eights and novelty sweaters! We have stocked up suitable drinks; port, advocate and rose. I have also recently acquired several pairs of flares which I am sure will grace your eyeballs soon.
 Going to listen to carols of Trafalgar Square tonight, and tomorrow night I am going to see The Snowman, so major festivity this weekend! Hope you all have very Merry Christmasses, love Lally x

Prancing Around

Things have been a little quiet on the blog front these last months, what with writing my thesis and Ed now working his little socks off we haven't had quite as much time to frolic as we might like! Anyway I wanted to share some photographs I took when I was home two weeks ago, it was so lovely to get dressed up and forget all the stresses of having to write a million trillion words! The painting in the backdrop is by my yummy mummy, Penny MacBeth. The wig was from my favourite dressing up shop in my home town, its an ex theatre piece. The dress my mum picked up several years ago at a vintage fair, its 1930s and again looks like it might be an ex theatre piece! Everything else was collected from around the house, the gloves were hiding in a draw and the decanter is from my mum's well stocked cocktail cabinate!

Tropics

I got an iphone and therefore am now instagramming my life away. Here are some pictures of the the sub-tropical heat Britain has been having over the last month (+some baklava, a gift from Turkey from my mama!) I am about to move home (closer to Ed, that means tons more impromptu adventures!) so life is a little cray right now. I'm currently taking a break from packing as its like 25 degrees and I seem to have packed all my summer clothing so am destined to wear 501s and weird teeshirts for the next week WAH! My room feels weird and empty so I've spent the last few days in Victoria Park drawing and reading with my bro and pretending  I don't have a dissertation to write!
